There are standards for Emergency Signage for Egress/Access of Passenger Rail Equipment, instructions, Luminescent, Markings, photoluminescent, and retroreflective signs.

There are Standards for Low-Location Exit Path Marking

Our egress products may be used in new buildings or renovated buildings or railcars.  All our wall products, signage and photoluminent products comply with APTA, FRA regulations and International Building Codes.

In July of 2005 the NYC Department of buildings introduced an amendment to Local Law 26 of the NYC Building Code. The new code requires Photoluminescent pathway markings be installed in all office buildings In Manhattan that exceed 75’ in height or are seven or more stories. The amendment included a detailed Reference Standard RS 6-1 and 6-1A.
